Tree Down

This week we said goodbye to our big tree on the field.  The tree was badly damaged and split in the weekends heavy winds.  Our class watched the experts cut and trim the big branches.

We are looking forward to being able to climb on the trunk sometime soon.

Social Science - Landforms

We have been learning about landforms.
Not only can we name many landforms and identify some of their features but we have been learning to use our knowledge to make landforms with sand.

Have a look at some of the fantastic creations we can make.

Room 14 are learning to use lots of new vocabulary about our science topic.
Do talk with them about their learning and give them the opportunity to use these words and share their learning with you.

St Johns Visit

Great learning took place today for our class with Olivia from St Johns today.

We have been learning to identify organisations in our community that help us in an emergency.

The children enjoyed an interactive session looking at the role of St Johns in an emergency.  Lots of hands on fun and exposure to new vocabulary.

Cross Country

What a great day we had for our cross country.  The sun was shining and the children were hugely enthusiastic participants.  It was a successful event supported by a large number of our families.

A big congratulations to all who participated.  Room 14 had very pleasing results.

A special mention for  our class member who was the third place getter in the five year old girls race.
