Our New Path
On Friday, our class went to sit near the driveway area. We were very excited as Mrs Chester had told us that a concrete mixer and some workers were going to pour a new concrete path at our school.
Mrs Chester said that we asked good questions about the path before we went to have a look. Some of these questions were;
Why do we need a new path?
Why was the old path not so good for wheelchairs?
Would people be able to use it to walk on when it was finished?
When we got there we sat and we sat and we sat. We were waiting for the concrete mixer truck to arrive. The boom pump truck was waiting too. Sadly, we didn't get to see the boom pump working because the concrete truck arrived and was filled with concrete that the boom pump couldn't use. We waited a little longer and eventually the workers pumped up the tyres on their two wheelbarrows. They had to tip lots and lots of loads of concrete to finally finish our new path.

ReplyDeleteHello people from this class. I am Zak from R11.
I like the way you (Mrs Chester) gave the chance to take your class to look at the concrete go on the new path.
One time there was a new path that was going to be made just outside the driveway on my house for the path next to the road. It took a very long time to build it. It wasn’t very short like this school one.
How did you feel when you heard that the boom pump wasn’t working?
